Scrabble: Bubble your Mouth with WORDS!

Spell. Clever. Reactive. Acceptable. Boggling. Boister. Leisure. Enigmatic. Enjoy.

Words. Such a small word yet make our world goes round. There are exactly 988, 968 English words in standard dictionary as sited by Global Language Monitor. Yet, we don't use all of them especially in scrabble.

Scrabble is a word game of two to four players testing their word knowledge on a 15-by-15 grid. Each player will have a turn in forming words that could appear either in horizontal of vertical manner. All words should be acceptable in standard dictionary. And it should be correctly spelled.

Scrabble is mind boggling activity. It needs a lot of concentration and a player should be clever enough to find words that lies on tiles with either double word or tiple word score. It's not a game of how much you know but a game of technique and reactive response to the word placed by the player before you.

Aside from increasing your vocabulary, scrabble is a fun activity. It serve as a leisure to some youth who wants to have a worthwile time.

There are a lot of things we don't know about scrabble. Not only the kids are fond of scrabble also celebrities including Sting, Keanu Reeves, Moby, John Travolta and Carol Burnet. The highest known score for a single word in competition Scrabble is 392. In 1982, Dr. Saladin Khoshnaw achieved this score for the word "caziques," which means "Indian chief." The highest score obtainable by playing a seven-letter word is QUARTZY (164 points) across a triple-word-score square with the Z on a double-letter-score square.And if all the Scrabble tiles ever produced were placed in a row, they would stretch for more than 50,000 miles. Highest score ever made by a single player is 830 by Mechael Cresta. The winning word is QUIXOTRY.

The scrabble board is made of Vermont Maple. It was used to be played with tiles only.
